Intermediate and Middle School at Northeast Christian Academy includes 5th Grade through 8th Grade. It is an important time of major transition from the older child to the young adult, so NCA structures the classes accordingly. The curriculum structure and grading policy in 5th Grade and 6th Grade resemble that of the Elementary School, but the students learn self-management by having lockers and moving between classes and instructors. In 7th Grade and 8th Grade, the students take comprehensive semester exams to help them prepare for the high school grades.
NCA desires to use the energy and exuberance of the Middle Schooler to develop a student who is a self-learner and who is learning to think critically. Unique elements in the Middle School curriculum such as Latin in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grades, and Logic in 7th and 8th Grades contribute toward developing students' analytical abilities so that they might better know God as the rational Being that He is.
