Admission Testing

Students entering Kindergarten and first grade are given a Developmental Readiness Test, administered by a NCA Teacher. $50 testing fee due at time of testing.

Students entering second through fourth grade will take the Primary ISEE. This is an online test administered at NCA. Please contact admissions for further information. The cost for the online exam is paid directly to the testing company, ERB. Please visit http://www.iseetest.org for information about the exam.

Students entering fifth through twelfth grade are given the ISEE test, scheduled and administered through the Admissions Office. This test consists of three parts: (1) Verbal & Quantitative Reasoning, which measures capability for learning; (2) Reading Comprehension & Math, which provides specific information about strengths and weaknesses in those areas; and (3) an Essay section which is timed and written in response to a prompt. ISEE charges a testing fee paid directly to them if the test is scheduled during the posted registration dates. Late registration (up to two weeks before the test date) is an additional charge. Top

Acceptance to NCA

Acceptance for admission to NCA is subject to availability of class space. Priority for acceptance is based on (1) children of staff members, (2) siblings of current students, (3) children or siblings of alumni, and (4) all other new applicants. The final admission decision will be made by an Admissions Committee composed of administrators, faculty and staff. To serve the best interest of the school, the Admissions Committee reserves the right to deny admission to any student who is evaluated as ineligible.NCA’s mission is to work in conjunction with the home to mold students to be Christ-like. On occasion, the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home may be counter or in opposition to the Biblical lifestyle the school teaches. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual immorality, sexual orientation, or inability to support the moral principles of the school. In such cases, the school reserves the right to refuse admission to an applicant. Top

Tuition Payment Options
Once accepted, families must pay the enrollment fee and sign a tuition contract. Tuition may be paid in one of three ways: (1) One payment of full tuition; (2) Two payments (per semester); (3) Monthly payment (electronic draft).

New Students: Regardless of the payment option, all required tuition payments are due June 5. If payment is not received by June 11, NCA will be released from the obligation to guarantee your child's space for the upcoming school year. For those families choosing the two-pay option, the second tuition payment will be due December 5.

Re-enrolled Students: If current school year tuition has not been paid in full by May 11, NCA will be released from any obligation to guarantee your child's space for the upcoming school year and the re-enrollment fee will not be reimbursed.

Monthly payment option for new students: as stated above, the first tuition payment will be due on June 5th by electronic draft. The subsequent eleven monthly tuition payments will continue by electronic draft on the 5th day of each month through May 5. An EFT form (electronic funds transfer form) must be completed at the time the contract is signed and a voided check must be attached to the form.

All students enrolling at NCA after June 5: Tuition is due at the time the tuition contract is signed. The following choices are available for families that select the monthly payment option:

  • Choice 1: Pay the enrollment fee and the monthly tuition rate through the 5th of the month the student is enrolling at the time the tuition contract is signed (by check or cash). Example: a student enrolling on July 25 for the upcoming school year will pay the enrollment fee and the monthly tuition payment for June and July at the time the tuition contract is signed. The monthly electronic draft in the amount shown on the Tuition and Fees Schedule will begin August 5 and continue on the 5th of each month through May 5.

  • Choice 2: Pay the enrollment fee and one month's tuition at the time the tuition contract is signed (by check or cash. Divide the remaining annual tuition due by the number of months the electronic draft will be made. Example: the student enrolling on July 25 will pay the enrollment fee and the June monthly tuition payment by check or cash. The remaining tuition balance will be divided by 10 payments (August through May). The electronic draft in this amount will begin August 5 and continue on the 5th of each month through May 5.

Application, enrollment, re-enrollment and testing fees are non-refundable. Reimbursement of tuition is subject to the following: If a student(s) withdraw(s) for any reason after June 5, a refund will only be made for that portion of the amount paid to date that exceeds 15% of the total annual tuition under this contract.
