Accelerated Reader
NCA is committed to the Accelerated Reading Program, a computer-based reading motivation program. The program is simple: the student reads a book and then takes a computerized test on the book. After finishing the test, the student earns a point score based on the difficulty level of the book and the number of questions he answers correctly. Reading or English class credit, rewards or incentives will be given periodically to those students who earn the required number of AR points. |
We subscribe to Accelerated Reader Enterprise which is the web-based version of Accelerated Reader. It gives our students access to all of the AR tests that are available through Renaissance Learning (over 100,000 tests). Click on the logo to the left to go to AR BookFinder.

Please email the library to request your user name and password. We will send it to you by return email. Please include your name and each of child's name and grade level for whom you wish to have access.

Be aware that not all quizzes/books are age and grade appropriate for all students.Parents may access their child's AR record through the Parent Access feature.
NOTE: Students must take all AR quizzes from school computers.
